This is El Barrio where I was born and raised. Decades have passed while I've witnessed vast tears, landscapes disappeared, cultures forgotten, heritages depleted, violence exterminating, drugs eliminating, ignorance rapid as a contagion, Realtors and city Elected Officials committing mass gentrification, artists born and created, grand ideas formulated, hope strengthened, and unbendable faith. We will not leave our identities and our homes without a fight. We will not allow you to erase us from the historical history we have embedded on our concrete. You will not erase us... We are and will always be East Harlem Strong... Siempre El Barrio Fuerte...
